What my Brushes would say

Day 2 Sketchbook Poetry

A Conversation Among Brushes

Shouldn't we be in color?
Why? She hasn't touched us in weeks.
What's the matter with her?
She's sad.
About?
How the world has changed.
Will she come back?
She always comes back to us.
Right.
because we are her life's wand for color.

Me: I don't over think these little doodles.
But as I drew this jar of brushes and
after I decided I didn't want them in color
I sort of heard this conversation play out.
That's what sketchbook poetry is about...
what comes to you as you are in a state
of making marks on a page.

Happy Sketching everyone. Pam
